Nudibranch in Anilao – Philippines Underwater Photography
A new series of nudibranch photos, taken by Andy Davis, during a 1-week training expedition to Anilao in the Philippines. The trip was for a rescue diver course, but there is always some time for underwater photography!
Anilao is often regarded as the ‘Nudibranch Capital of the World’ – and is a very popular destination for serious underwater photographers. In addition to the large variety of nudibranch, there is a huge bio-diversity of macro and reef marine life… with sites such as ‘Secret Bay’ commonly considered to be on a par with muck diving legends like Lembeh in Indonesia.
This is the place to come if you enjoy underwater photography!
Nudibranch are certainly the ‘butterflies of the sea’ and a very popular subject for underwater photography. There are many hundreds of different species, all of which are uniquely colourful. They are also small and slow-moving – so representing an ideal subject matter for novice to expert level photographers.
Scuba Tech Philippines regularly visits Anilao to conduct Underwater Photography classes and workshops. Please contact us for details.
